Table runner

Recommended Posts

I finally finished my son's table runner and gave him it at Christmas :D

You may remember he rejected my beautiful batik offering in favour of boring brown and cream but I am pleased with the result. :D Then my machine lost it's tension again but that's another story.

yes 12". No I am definately not taking orders. I made a gold and chocolate one two years ago for YS girlfriends mother for Christmas cos he didn't know what to give her. I did one in Christmas fabrics for myself last year and now this one so I am glad to see the back of the pattern

Do you want me to send you it :D

Oooh, would you? I tried googling ocean waves but it comes up with a different design! I have a few table runner projects to do this year - I'm going to be totally indulgent with my sewing and do them for me this year!

It's not too hard if you start with squares and other straight sided shapes like rectangles (I'm a simple girl me  ).........a mixture of the two means you don't have to worry about matching up corners for the first attempt, then use just squares....not so easy, but a scattering of buttons hides small errors  ....and it's supposed to be fun and homemade with love, so any complaints/comments are not necessary :shameonu:

I need to upload the pictures of my latest piece of patchwork.................so simple it's almost embarrassing, but very well received by the little girl it was made for.
