Waterproof snow boots!

Recommended Posts

Yes, I know it's a bit like locking the stable door at the moment... but actually I really need a nice pair of BROWN waterproof snow boots that don't cost the earth for my son's wedding in Canada at the end of February. The ceremony is outside IN the SNOW! And they need to go with my new faux fur coat- hence brown.

I found a pair I liked locally but they were only water resistant. And I'm bemused by all the ones on the web. So any recommendations? If I get them now I can road test them!

I've got some wellie type boots - although not as pretty as those! So maybe I need another pair of those too.

I like the Cotton Trader ones - I notice CT have a closing down sale of their concession at Yarnton Nurseries near me so I'll pop along and see if they have any there.

The wedding WILL be pretty - if cold. There's apparently going to be a horse and sleigh so very romantic. The bride is Canadian and the deal is that the wedding iis n Canada then they will both be living in England.

We're all going over at the beginning of the week with the wedding on the Friday. Hopefully no-one will break anything!

My Aunty bought me these for my birthday and Christmas http://www.merrell.co.uk/en-GB/Shop/Product.aspx?AltNavID=WAF-G-WNT&PID=15692&GST=W Not cheap though, we bought them in Blacks but they're not on their website. I've been wearing them almost constantly since getting them, although I got them for going to Latvia in February. They are really comfy and lovely and warm.

I have some of these

and I'm wearing them today as the snow is due here in the next couple of hours. Very warm and snug and with "sticky" soles so you have a bit of grip too. I think they do make them in brown, but cream would work with a brown coat as well - works with mine!

Think I'd probably prefer a wedding on a warm, sunny Caribbean island ...
