Snowy
No apologies for posting more snow pics - I've waited so patiently for our snow and it's only just arrived! So we took the opportunity to go sledging this morning, and took the dogs with us. Ruby thought it was great fun racing through virgin snow Candy has been very nervous out walking recently - she was caught unawares by a bird scarer and it has been difficult to get her beyond the first field! Today she forgot all her anxieties and really enjoyed herself: ] Ruby wants to be a snow plough when she grows up: She managed to gain some glittery sprinkles in the process (she also had snowballs hanging from her pantaloons but we didn't capture those on film ): For the first time they actually played together: Ruby needed to cool down a bit: All now collapsed in front of the fire! Ain't Nobody Here
What fantastic photos . I love the action shot with ears flying . They look like they had a ball . Here's a very short video of Riley running in the snow . Not bad for a dog that dislocated his hip in July .
Space Chick
Lovely both Even 14 year old Henry is enjoying running in the snow After his recent kidney infection though, we are trying to keep him in as much as possible
Cooks
 love them!!! Suze loves the snow and feels it only right to bring some in on her nose/muzzle everytime she goes out.... it's really cute. Rubs some baby oil in their feet SWnowy and the snow wont stick do bad. thats what I do with my cocker and gets snow boots otherwise. Lesley
They look so happy Snowy Jazz gets cracked pads and I've been using some Wattle Balm that Savonista makes, on her paws - it's brilliant!
Snowy
Ooh some good ideas about the baby oil and paw balm. There has been some discussion on the springer forum about how to prevent snow balls - as you can imagine it is a common problem for spaniels! I also considered paw wax - my brother uses it in Canada, and I think you can get it from Pets at Home, but not sure whether it is worth it for the amount of snow we get I couldn't get the video of Riley to play ANH, but I get the gist from the 'blur' in the still photo! He's made a fantastic recovery hasn't he!
Sunshine
They look like they are having a great time! We took Lola in the fields near my grandma's house and she just ran and ran. It's her first Christmas so has never seen the snow and seems to love it! She just runs, she also loves chasing after snowballs and when she finds them she eats them! Were your dogs good with the sledges? Lola just wants to chase them, its ok when we are going down hills and she is running next to you but when its other people it becomes a problem. I think we need to do sledge therapy as well as hover therapy!

The Dogmother
Lovely photos, look at those big grins! And lovely vid of Riley - mad dog! I can't resist posting this one that Phil took of Ruby racing in the (light) snow a couple of weeks ago - she's wearing her arran sweater as she gets so cold if she's not running.
