majorbloodnock
All very politically incorrect Just another of those oblique thoughts I have from time to time, in this case combining "politically correct" and the grandfather's mortal reliance on a timepiece. Is it possible to present all our political representatives with similar Grandfather Clocks that are, in fact, cunningly disguised 3 minute egg timers, then wait for 3 minutes and see what happens? I, for one, have high hopes....

craftyhunnypie
That has made me giggle over my breakfast! I remember the bees & the rats! There was another song - oh you'll never get to heaven in a baked bean tin, cos the Lord won't let no saucy ones in! There were lots of verses! Most were from Brownies. No wonder we are looney chicken keepers. Emma.x
Ain't Nobody Here
This was our (unofficial) school song (not that we had an "official" one ): Come to Cranley, come to Cranley It's a school of misery There's a signpost at the corner Saying welcome unto thee Build a bonfire, build a bonfire Put the teachers on the top Put the prefects in the middle and burn the ****** lot Perhaps that's a common school song, I've no idea . Busybird
I wonder how many schools retain their Latin motto yet no longer teach Latin

Ain't Nobody Here
I remembered a bit of our school motto but unbelievably Google found the whole thing for me . (Nothing to do with my school though which closed down when I was 17!)
