We all seem to be having a right old Friday what with Griffin's miserly company and Clootie's door.

I spent the best part of the morning working my way round the kitchen. Murray comes in and splashes water all over my nice shiney granite. I removed the kettle and wiped aforementioned area huffing (as you do) - he decided to have a drink of water instead of tea - by that time I was cleaning the bottom part of the kettle and hence he couldn't boil it. Round 1 to me. Erin eventually surfaces plugs in the mixer and promptly dusts everywhere in icing sugar. By this time I am at boiling point - not helped by the wonderful discovery that the Net-ex Scaley leg stuff has leaked all over the kitchen table. Well at least it won't get scaley leg. Apache has been whining all day long. What's wrong? She laid an egg - well done. Whinge whinge whinge. Now what. Mercedes is trying to hatch Apache's egg. Oh for heaven's sake. Mercedes now out of nest box and pottering around. Erin has Apache on her lap - still whingeing. Mercedes sees an opportunity and with her knickers around her ankles bolts for the cube.

Am having a bit of toast and some G&B's choccy sauce because I'm feeling in NEED! Then mum wants me to do her hair when I pick her up this afternoon. I'm still only halfway round the kitchen because of all the back tracking I've had to do. I have 2 worksurfaces left (can't see them for junk and cleaning stuff).

Sun's out here and it's lovely - apart from the grotty black rain clouds zipping over and it's snowing again. Snow? Arghhhhhhhhhh not again!

The union can only advise us of our rights and accompany us to meetings etc. They've hired a legal team to fight our corner. I'm just so annoyed it's gone on for so long.

 

It doesn't matter now though, I've since heard a friend died suddenly this morning. A huge shock

I can see why you posted about the company on the "crazy topic", crazy company & crazy date, July 12th! Must be really hard, but if you enjoy(ed) the work, might be as well to focus on that & keep at it until after the hearing. Ages though, & I wish for a good outcome.

All in the cube run having tea - hang on where's Kitty? In the eglu nestbox. Thing is all I have to do to stop her in her tracks is say "Kittykittykitty" and she squats, wiggles her bum and holds out her wings. I never realised Kittykittykitty is another word for hanky panky in chicken language!

Still for the first time ever we had 4 eggs in one day. 4 up and running and 4 to go.

Have to go in case Kitty gets all flustered on her own outside. Snow stopped, last rays of the sun and blue sky.

Er, I thought that was "normal" on this thread!

 

No sign of Kitty, cleaned the 3rd section of granite - ooooooh shineeeeeeyyy. Calls to Murray - can you see Kitty yet? Yes she's desperately trying to get in the run. Oh ye gods - grabs a bowl of corn and runs down the garden to be greeted by a little furball. I let her eat whatever she wanted away from the gannets - bless her, she tidied up the mess she spilt. So then we toddle down to the cube. One sigh of relief and a chubby little pink egg.

I can hear again I phoned the surgery and managed to talk to a nurse. I was having an improvement with decongestants so she has told me to carry on taking them and gradually increase the time inbetween them over the next few days. I was worried as they can cause a rebound effect but she told me it was unlikely unless i took them for over two weeks. I have an appointment booked for Wednesday which i can cancel if i'm ok by then

We're popping down to see Murray's cuz in Bournemouth today. I am told we are having fishless fish soup before we go walking along the promenade. So I have warned her that my face will be red and blotchy by the end of our walk. Sgt. Major Muz wants us to get there for 10 - I need a shower and sort bird food out because mum is chick'n sittin'.
