Rosie calls them malteser eggs Alongside two of the other banty eggs to give you an idea of scale I've only ever had a few of these, usually by a younger hen. They are usually formed when a bit of grit gets into the oviduct - they don't have a yolk, but you'll see the bit of grit, like a grape pip inside.
