We made impossible pie, it is very wierd, goes into the dish as slop comes out in layers. It was too sweet and too coconutty for me, OH loved it 2 children hated it the other said it was ok, my Grandad and Uncle ate it and said it was ok but they might have been being polite. I would put less sugar in it if I did it again. The Estonian woman was lovely tonight, I might try that pink semolina in the summer when I have loads of redcurrants. I'm going to look at the website later. I also thought the baked alaska was cheating too and looked a bit sloppy. OH fancies the lemon souffle. Daphne Posted February 4, 2010 Share Posted February 4, 2010 I think this has been a fab programme - its letting us in on family secrets which have been made over many years; they've stood the test of time. I liked the ones on good old fashioned family meals best - that lemon souffle made for Princess Margaret reminded me of a raspberry version I did for my 'O' level HE exam meal so I've never made it since! But my favourite recipe of theirs is from a different series, and is their Ultimate Fish Pie. It is to die for... So full of flavour! Is on the BBC food website.
