Unsecure chicken perches

Well it's that time again, waiting for 1st chicks of the year (shouldn't really be happening as I had the incy all boxed up to sell it ). Had 7 fertile bantam Brahma but at last candling 4 were late DIS.....never had them die so late on before . So I have 3 left (1 blue partridge, 2 buff columbian). One of the eggs is moving already (day 18) so fingers crossed all 3 will hatch

In our household, the minute e hear a chick chirp, the whole house rumbles and everyone sits for about 10 minutes waiting to here it, then we go off again until the next big thing happens

Off to bed soon....and still not much happening. I presumed that as I've always seen 'pipping' on day 20 (in large fowl and bantams) that something would have happened by now. They're still shoogling about so I know they're still trying. Sod's Law......working tomorrow

1 blue partridge and 1 blue buff or buff columbian sleeping in the brooder .......and 1 very quiet egg left in the incy. I held it to my ear when moving the others and heard 'squelchy' noises so chick is still moving inside. Pics tomorrow hopefully.
