Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 14

Recommended Posts

Morning all! Gosh it's gone really cold this morning, hoping the sun might make an appearance soon.

Anyone got any ideas for an Easter bonnet/hat for a boy? Have to make one for Danny for an Easter parade in school in April. He says I'm not allowed to put flowers on it

My steam mop should be arriving today :D

Yep! Same here!!!

For a flower free Easter bonnet my mum (works @ a school) does a band of green card wrapped around head. The top edge of the band is cut like grass. and then cuts out sheep shapes in black card, adds cotton wool with PVA glue, a googlywobbly eye and then sticks a couple of those to the grass :) She would also make a couple of Daffodils using card and egg boxes but as it is no flowers allowed how about some of those fluffy chick as Claire posted

I will put your order in with my mum!

She went to school dressed as Danger Mouse the other day!:lol::lol: I got a phone call from her asking "How would you make mouse ears?" I am pretty sure she was dressed as Danger Mouse on the journey to and from work!

I love my mum LOADS, she is a superstar but sometimes I am quite glad that I live 100 miles away!

ooo I like that grass and sheep idea, got lots of Easter chick stickers that I bought recently too. Now all I need is to get hold of some green card  Feel a trip to The Range coming on (it's my nearest suppliers of arty crafty stuff, spent a fortune last time I went in there  )

they're cute little things. I've got a lot to live up to, my mum made me an Easter bonnet when I was in nursery, and won the competition! I remember her making it in a hurry one lunch time, we had to have eggs so she could wash the shells, put fluffy chicks inside, then she just happened to have a box of pastel coloured tissues which she scrunched up to make flowers, and stapled them on. She's got a photo of me wearing it somewhere.

It would be so much easier if Dan was a girl.

Bonjour :)

Lewis is just having a gander at chicken breeds

Think we'll get a couple of bantams (so can fit a couple more in ) and some LF too ... dual purpose would be 8) so don't have to waste them and can finally have dinner chickens - well I say this now :anxious::lol:

Liking the look of dotty bantams, pekin, frizzle, always loved chamois frizzle poland, ooh and a sneaky naked neck ( :shh:), old english game for mother (ballerinas apparently) ... and an orp for father.

I think this is why the parents have say no

Maybe 1 or 2 of each breed  - my autosexing skills completely failed last time, so don't know if I should try CCL again

Also thinking maybe get a couple of hybrids (maybe !eggblue!!egggreen! ) for eggs in the winter so will have to leave some space for them :D

... would like to rescue a couple of ex batts but will think about it a bit more in the summer when the chicks and WIR are settled down :)

Went for a nice long(ish) bike ride (about 20 miles) Got told off by a PCSO for cycling on the pavement  (but it was a very narrow busy road and I wanted to turn right, the pavement was massive too, wasn't getting in anyone's way....)

I am worn out just reading that

*tuts* at Freda  I never have that problem ... bike has been broken for years

I did hire an old bike (50/60's or something?) for one of the shows from a theatre in Brum just off Broad St ... I had to ride it round the corner of Broad St to the car and then up the road and back when we got home :P

Had Pork Satay for tea, my own tried and tested recipe that I have made for years, only today I put in too many chilli flakes  It was still nice though
