Good evening all *Waves*

Debs is pleased to report that Dorothea has had her first free range session today  Tegan was too much of a wuss

However, I was cleaning out the poo trays, and then topping them up with hemcore from the nesting box, and Rose decided to jump out of the nest box door  closely followed by Donna

I was expecting issues, so ran inside for a water pistol, there was one mini bit of nastiness between Dorothea and Donna, but a quick squirt and they were fine, in fact, Donna ran away from Dorothea after that :D

I then let Dorothea (Dodo) and Tegan (Baby T) have the run of the WIR, and let big Suze in with them, big Suze was scared stiff of Dodo and ignored Baby T :notalk:

I also think that Nyssa may have a softie on the way, as she has been quite hunched up, and seemed uneasy on her feet (she fell over twice when she tried to run). I am hoping its nothing more sinister  However, logic would say with her having just come into lay, she may get the odd softie until she gets into the swing of things. I am just more nervous after losing Martha after only 3 eggs. I breathe a size of relief when they lay number 4, silly I know :anxious: I am going to keep a close eye on her. The only other thing I think, is that she has insisted on sleeping on the perch the last 2 nights and has again today  , she still has her appetite though and wolfed down some mealworms, so thats good :)

Accidental intro's are the best!

Glad there wasn't any major upsets :D

How was the conference?

Nats friend came for tea ... they walked in an Nugget was lying on the worktop in the kitchen

I think she's half broody, has made a deep nest in the nesting box but then gives up after a couple of hours

I took a few photos, so will get them on here in a sec :)

Just walked to Spar so am brrrrrrr now.

Evening all!

Oooh Lewis your little chook looks stunning and SO clean :D Do you fancy popping over here and giving my Orps a bath? Their undercarriages are a little muddy at the moment as they decided to get to the "good" grass via the old dustbath that is a tad flooded

Glad to hear things went reasonably smoothly with your FR Debs! Big Suze rocks!!!! :) And happy thoughts for Nyssa, perhaps she is just a bit hormonal after all this egg laying lark

Well this longer days are great!!! I ran out of the office at 5 on the dot tonight and got home in time for a bit of free ranging with the girlies :D Everybody was out, even the newbies, Bella and Nessie and apart from Brandy being her usual bolshy self it went GREAT!

Oh oh oh oh oh !!!!! Nessie crouched for me today for the first time too and her little comb is coming in too! :D:dance::D

I am pleased to report that Nyssa is seeming a bit better today, she is still hunched a little, but ran over to see me and was fine on her feet, I am hoping it is just a softie
