The brooder shed is here, I have laid the base we just have to assemble the shed, I must say I am impressed by the quality of the shed

 

I was up the field till 6:45pm today, it was just about dark when I left, I cleaned out all the chooks and the sheep's stable and filled countless haynets for the week (hubby doesnt 'do' haynets ) I took the two silver laced dottes up as the cockerel is very noisy and bought the rest of the black Silkies back to the house as they are very quiet

 

We have no heating due to continuing problems with the electricity so have a big fire going but I just cant get warm! I think I got too cold today and cant warm up Its times like this I wish I hadnt mocked the Slankey/Slankets (or whatever they are called...)

 

We have two lavender Pekin chick out and three more pipped

The Silkie is in lay already Lewis, you will probably get an egg in the next day or so, I was getting about 6 eggs a week between her and her pen mate
