Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 14

Recommended Posts

Morning - another bright and frosty day here.

Late last night I had to watch the sports news because I had to see how Cardiff got on - and I don't like footie anymore! Debs! :shameonu::lol:

We had a busy time in the garden and ran out of bark, so we are off later to try and finish what we started. Still too early to sow anything in the greenhouse because my little plants were affected by the cold - hopefully the fleece over the top will help. The naughty girls are having dirt baths in all the veggie beds - bit like Goldilocks - try this patch, no that bit, ooh that's sunny lets go here. We also have naughty mousie back in the dirtbath collecting acorns and munching them - well nibbles here there and everywhere and a little store of corn that the girls left somehow. So no food down below and only up the top here - which is difficult because there are acorns everywhere. I shall very likely have my own little New Forest when they start to sprout in the veggie beds. Murray was clucking to the hens yesterday - harrrrr!

Saw Lewis' babies on the other posting. :D

Ooh Tasha - feel cold after reading your news.

Our little lavender pekin is a dirty little lavender pekin. Still has anti-peck over her. I will give her a bath later when it warms up more. Well, they all need a bath. Must get out in the garden soon - just as soon as I finish my cawfeeee! :D

Morning :D

I have used my early morning energy to make 2 caramel apple pies

One for Grandad, and one for us

We have just had a cooked breakfast, and now I am going down Grandads and to deliver my eggs, then this afternoon I will spend outside with the girls

May not see you all until tonight

Well I did somebody's feet yesterday, but they seem to be clearing up. No sign of nasties on the footsies, just sprayed and let them paddle on the draining board for good measure. I remember - twas Sadie - she found the pine kernels and chomped while I squirted, Erin had to lift her up so I could get a good coating. The fat ladies bloomers are filthy though. Tipsy's feet are permanently muddy - she just gets right in. I can just see the green sheen trying to show on the silkie - but mudball just refuses to look pretty. Squirted Squirt too for footsies - so far so good, and Patch. They also had diatom deodorant - as did I when I put them down. I'm still louse and mite free.

May not see you all until tonight

Won't be able to reach the keyboard after 2 pies.:drool:

Apple caramel pie sound gorgeous

We went to a 40th birthday party last night, it was hubby's work colleague. I only knew 2 other people there, wasn't too bad though. Hubby is feeling a little poorly, they had Otley beer on tap and plenty of red wine for free, he's only just made it into the shower after laying on the sofa all morning with his head hidden :lol: It wasn't even a late night we left at 10:30pm.

Going to Mothercare/ELC this afternoon to get Oliver a birthday present. He's so difficult to buy for as he just plays with all of Danny's toys. Ah well sure we'll find something.

Laptop charger is playing up again  Might have to buy another one - got insurance on it last time it went dodgy, but don't know wether it'd cover a charger

I finally got my phone out and took a pic of my chickens:

The one on the left is Cajun, the middle one is Honey and the one on the right is Tandoori

(for some reason the pic is really small, dunno why)

I hate it when people don't read instructions, they normally end up doing it wrong, or complaining that it doesn't work or something.

Example:

Person: Useless piece of junk doesn't work!

Me: Did you read the instructions?

Person: No, I never do...

Me: Picks up instructions, reads them, fixes 'piece of junk' that now works.

:D Look good Freda

I can normally manage without instructions

Might get to them as a last resort though

Just been in t' garden - we now have a clean drive and patio. Father bought a new jet wash yesterday after asking for ages - I think the box helped, Tasha

Gerald + Jemima are splashing around in the sun in the tubtrug and pond ... could have ducklings in a few weeks

 Well done Cilla! Ahhh I'm sure the duckies have grown. @ Redder's shed footy bits. Now Fred's girlies are really in the bright sunshine there - Honey almost glows!

Murray is watching Reading - I've heard a lot of cheering - must be doing OK then.

Afternoon all :D

Been out with the girls for a few hours, have come back in to have a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie  and to give Henry a fuss. I had to bring him back inside as he was barking at the girls today

Will go back out in a bit though as it is a lovely day

Intros are going well, apart from Nyssa who is being a right evil monster  She has bled Dodos comb again :wall: All going well apart from that though. But dynamics are very interesting. Sarah-Jane still top, Rose still second (these are the only ones Dodo will run from), Dodo is definitely above Donna and the ex batts. Although Romana and Nyssa are seeing these intros as a way to elevate their status :anxious: It is fascinating to watch the pecking order in action :D

Phil aka David Bailey has had the camera out, so will sift through all the photos he's taken, and may upload a few good ones later

Fred - your girls are lovely :D

Lewis - Great to see Cilla's egg
