BarbaraJ
Well the 3 new girls arrived 14th Feb and have an Eglu in their part of WIR. For 2 weeks i left them in there and the others could see them through a trellis divider. This week i have been supervising for 3 days free ranging in the pm . well sort of, as the new girls were allowed in all the run but not allowed outside in their fenced of FR area. Yesterday i left them for couple hours with run open and seemed ok with occasional peck. today i went out to see where they had gone to bed and the 3 new girls were in the cube didn't seem stressed just seemed to like it in there! Later 1 newbie in the cube and 2 in the Eglu with the 4 oldies walking around in the run eventually the 1 in the cube realised her girls weren't in sight and scuttled in the Eglu. When they go to bed i close the trellis divider so they get a chance to eat and drink in the morning. though they are managing to eat in the main run too without much interference. Now on Saturday if everything goes the same tomorrow should i remove the barrier and leave the Eglu in there , how long would you suggest leaving it in (have to give it back eventually as borrowed) another week or so , or until the new ones choose to sleep in the cube with the others? Space Chick
I think as long as there is continued progress and no nastiness, I would remove the barrier on Saturday
Plum
Well I would put them all to sleep together now. Mine slept together before being in the run together
BarbaraJ
Ah yes Plum but people usually take them out early in the morning and i know i wouldn't get to do that as I'm not good in the mornings and have kiddies arrive early. Or do you mean leave them in there?
Olly
If they're going into the Cube of their own accord, just leave them in there. It sounds as if things are fairly calm.
TAJ
What age are they? personally I would start with the quiet of night, before daytimes together. Tracy

Tracy If i do that tonight can i leave them to get up together or do i need to get the new ones out? just that the cube is always open so have no idea what time they get up

BarbaraJ
As everyone seemed to be mixing well with only the odd scuffle and even sharing the grape grabbing frenzy this afternoon i closded the Eglu door as only Daisie was in there, turfed her out and went back 30mins later and they were all quietly tucked up in the Cube Soooo happy that only took 3 weeks and the food doesn't seem an issue like last time i did Intros they are all eating fine with 3 feeders (had 5 last time and still squabbles lol)
