Went for a celebratory meal last night with the happy couple and my y/d's prospective in-laws. Had a lovely time.

This wedding planning malarkey is easy !

 

In 2 days we have between us

 

booked the church

 

booked the reception venue (beautiful Eastbourne Town Hall)

 

booked the band for the reception (I work with the lead singer of the band they wanted so that bit was particularly easy as the church was booked around the dates they were free!)

 

booked the cars

 

DD has also found the dress she wants so that will be ordered soon

 

I was expecting the whole thing to be full of stress as the date is only 9 months away and people have been telling me you need 2 years to organise a wedding.

 

I must be doing something wrong (or right) or it was all meant to be

 

I am going to make the cake and have found a lovely recipe for one which has a chocolate bottom layer, lemon middle and light fruit top. Yummy

 

Still need to find that hat though

We had bags of time and from engagement (which was a suprise to me) to wedding was 12 1/2 months
