Raina
Thanks Lewis! I candled all the eggs! 5 of them are completely black and the 6th is clear (It was the darkest at the beginning but now it's the lightest,if you know what i mean?) so I've just thrown away the clear one but i think one of the eggs is moving lol I stood there for about 10 minutes with the torch shining through the incubator! looking like a plonker but i think my eyes are just playing tricks on me
craftyhunnypie
No they do wiggle, sometimes ever so slightly & other times they really go at it. The ones with the really dark masses in them, will be the developed chicks. There won't be much room left in the eggs now & they will be busy absorbing the egg yolk ready to hatch. The humidity will increase in the next few days, until the air in the air sac becomes that yukky & stale, it causes a reaction for the chick to ' gasp' ( don't worry it is normal). The chicks head will then automatically jerk from under its wing & cause the egg to pip making an air hole through the shell. This can sometimes be on the underside of the egg. The little chick will then zip its way around the egg shell & eventually after a very long wait (for you) - sometimes well over 24 hours, the chick will ooze itself from the egg & hatch. I whistle to my eggs & stimulate the wiggling by shining the maglite torch on them through the incubator lid. They wiggle like mad. My big boy even responds to whistling now - he is 2 and a half! Best of luck! Emma.x
Raina
Thanks Emma! When i candled them i couldn't see a thing just air sacks and i'm not 100% sure but i think i might have seen those moving? The last time i hatched i think MJ took 3 days to hatch I was always playing chick and hen noises to her using my phone and she would always respond to it by cheeping like mad and would wobble alot
Raina
Right we are all getting pretty eggcited ( ) here! Because the egg i thought i saw wobble yesterday did a big wobble for me about 25 minutes ago when i whistled to them. I know we shouldn't get excited till they hatch but i can't help it lol! Have set my alarm for 7:10am ready for when i take out the auto turner at 8am....Can't wait lol Slightly excited about tomorrow too as we have a new washing machine being delivered, ours broke a few days ago,My mum had to go out today to buy us some new clothes (We have a nice big pile of clothes now waiting to be washed lol)

Egluntyne
hi well mine are due tomorrow only 2 wobbeling got up this morning and one had pipped and i can hear it cheeping and the crack has got bigger i was just woundering how long it takes them to break out hes been at it for well over 12 hours with not much progress ...... The time taken can vary. I've had one take over 24 hours, and another seemed to take no time at all. One minute there was no sign and the next thing , there was a chick. One thing I would recommend at this stage is that you don't open the incubator too often, if at all, tempting though it is. It will interfere with the humidity, and may cause the membranes to dry making it more difficult for the chick to get out of the egg. Raina
2 of the eggs have pipped and the first egg that wobbled is still wobbling but doesn't look like it's pipped. I only opened up the incubator yesterday and that was to add some more water to the tray

Madchook
My first hatchling went from cheeping to out in the 45 minutes I didn't check! It never obviously pipped, although pipping sounds were heard so it can't ahve had muh of a rest. So I think it is a lottery!
Redwing
Some hatches are quick as Madchook and Egluntyne say, its strange to see a chicks where there was an egg half an hour before - makes your jaw hit the floor I did have a chick that took three days to hatch I'd say that 12 -24 hours is about average
