6 blooming pages SIX!!!!!!! I come in at the Waltons good nights and no cake left either. Never mind I'll just stay virtually slim.

 

Erin brought home a jigsaw puzzle with Winnie the Pooh from the hospice shop. The reason - it hasn't been tested to see if the whole puzzle is there. Why hadn't it been done? Because it's one of those impossipuzzles! Bringing back lots of memories. So far all the edges are done, but no table large enough (the dining room currently covered with Erin's bits is all wonky reclaimed pine so not good for puzzles). So half is on one little table and the other half on a smaller table. I think we'll have to swipe things off a square table and try on there, although we'll have to sit on the floor.

 

Kitchen getting better. Need to do the floor now - not looking up at those naughty spiders webs.

 

I should have a good sleep tonight - no Snorey McSnoresnore to wake me up - last night he kept elbowing me in the head - and then snored to add insult to the injuries. I think I shoved him so hard he nearly rolled out the bed. Cross? Me? Never! It was more like fury really.

Have put some of those metal L's on the stand alone perch I made out of 'the shed' wood from school - a bit more stable now ... even if I think the cross bit of the perch is done the wrong way - have put it edge pointing up, rather than flat side up

Will probably try and do something with it tomorrow, and creosote it

Thought it would be nice to have the window open at night with fresh air blowing over my face as it was so mild. 2 o'clock and the robin starts. 3 o'clock and then a few more add to the warbling. Morning *wave* Sorry i vanished last night and thanks for all the well wishes etc re FIL. Had a really good heart to heart with Si. I told him how worried i am about FIL and how frustratng i tis for me as i feel it's not my place to say anything. I also pointed out a load of stuff he hadn't thought about eg overdosing on cold meds, forgetting he doesn't work anymore and going out etc etc.

 

Si is working in London today so is going to go round when he has finished to check on his Dad. He is going to stay untill his Mum gets back and then have a serious chat with her. Hopefully he will get through to her and she will realise he can't be left alone . He is also going to reiterate that she has to tell the Drs everything on Tues. He is also going to say he is going to ring on Tues to see what Dr has said. If we're not happy with whats being done we he has said he is going to make a Drs appointment for them and go with them and also contact social services re an assesment. We're not sure how long, even if MIL gives up work, it's safe for him to be at home .

Off to my Godsons Christening this morning, where I officially become his Godmother, and then I am off to football to see my lovely sister and rub her belly to say hello to the baby

So in summary, having just read the last 16 pages...Lewis has building his WIR in between eating Chinese takeaway, far too much cake eating has been taking place, there has been a race between mad Omleteers to get to South Wales, we've adopted a cute ickle octopus all whilst Cookie watched a film about a mad labrador that could easily have been about the one currently asleep upside down in my conservatory... ... ...and I though I had had a busy few days

 

You lot make me laugh ...just what I needed this afternoon I feel a bit out of sorts today...you know when you feel something just isn't right but you just can't quite put your finger on what it is

 

Time I think to stick the kettle on ... anyone else for a cuppa

Have been WIRing today. Forgot that the door needs to open all the way doesn't it - the feeder rails were behind so they'd be easy to do, but forgot about the door

Swapped the panels, and started taking down the old WIR to move the wendy house in - creosoted that and did the sides again. A couple of roof panels are resting on top, but not secured down yet.

 

Who's had the 8 hens? What cha bought then?

Lewis - the 8 hens went to little brother - they were comprised of his five bantams that I had for a while during his OH pregnancy, Tia, my partridge silkie as i felt bad splitting her from her BFF. Brandy, my buff orp, as he has Orp lad that needs wives and then Saffy, my CLB as she would be lost without Brandy.
