Dog washing machine!

Recommended Posts

We absolutely howled with laughter this morning when we saw this - I would just love to see footage of them trying to prise the paws off the door frame trying to get that poodle in the second time around! And can you imagine trying to get a cat in there?!

Not entirley kind, I feel, still at least it didn't go round and round!

We have a double shower unit which makes it so easy to wash the dog. If you ever have the option of getting a double unit, they are brilliant for pet cleaning. You just get in with them and there is less opportunity for fighting or having to heave them into the bathlike a dead and shaky weight.

The problem comes 10 seconds later between the unit and the back door when he shakes. :D

We don't currently have a dog. However, in the past I've only ever found washing a dog reduces the time elapsed between the escape from the water and the immersion in whatever excrement they can find nearby. On those times where I've felt a dog is just too mucky to be allowed to continue that way, I've generally just taken a detour to find the nearest pond and thrown a stick into the middle.

Admittedly, I tend to regard car-washing in terms of how much rain is forecast, so perhaps mine isn't the most immaculate advice going......

Surely the point of washing a dog is to use shampoo :? . That just looked like a shower of water then a blowdry :? . Water alone wouldn't get the mud off their nether regions

Exactly what I thought. What an awful contraption, poor dog looked really stressed when it was being sprayed with water. In terms of cleaning it was completely pointless and unnecessary bordering on cruel.

That dog wash thing is horrific.Imagine the fear a dog will go through being in an enclosed space having water sprayed at them-its almost like chinese water torture.Atleast when you bathe your own dog at home in the bath it has the reassurance of you being very close by and they listen to our ramblings.Dogs are also comforted by our touch and that machine would not be nice in my opinion.

What a stupid idea.

Ruby woudl hate it, she doesn't mind being cleaned though, which is a good job as she is expert at rolling in whatever she can find... fox poo, rotten fish... the list is endless. Ketchup is very good at deodorising it first, then she either goes in the shower cubicle or the bath.

Last time, after I'd cleaned her off, we met up with Lesley, Carl and their dogs.. they all decided to go bog snorkelling in a tributary of the Avon. Now, I'm not fussy and only normally clean her if she's rolled in summat smelly, but she was so caked in mud that it was itching her and she had to have a bath
