Snoxy
Hi I will soon be giving my purple Eglu a final clean before advertising it for sale and would like to do a really good job Could anyone tell me the best way to clean up the plastic roosting bars? I have used hot water and washing up liquid and a scrubbing brush but I can't get off the white stains left by the red mite powder Maybe soaking them in hot water with dishwasher tablets may do the trick Has anyone wiped over their Eglu after cleaning with a product like baby oil to give it a sheen? What cleaning products have you used that have been a success? Thank you Lou Edited April 3, 2010 by Guest
Egluntyne
I use one of those green scrubby things and find that it works well.
Snoxy
Do you mean like the ones for non-stick pans? Thank you

ubereglu
I do too, and give them a good soak as well and then another scrub. It doesn't matter too much if they're not entirely clean, just as long as you've scrubbed as best you can really. After all new chickens living in it will soon make a mess again! sadietoo
I have put mine through the dishwasher successfully...(after thorough scrubbing to remove anything unpleasant of course!)
