bronze
Just sliced my thumb and two fingers on the metal catch of the tray. Has anyone else done this or have they filed mine up especially.

Sheilaz
Ouch, I've brought you a cuppa, Bronze. I don't know what metal you mean, but I have mark ones..no metal on the droppings tray. But, I did cut myself yanking it out one day ages ago. Since then I've taken the precaution of always wearing gloves, which I think is sensible for the job anyway! The time I did it was winter too, and it's easy to hurt cold hands & not realise quite how much until you come indoors! Hope it heals quickly. Snowy
Definitely ouch - poor you I know which bit of metal you mean, but hadn't noticed it being sharp. I ALWAYS wear gloves when pulling it out (there might be slugs under there! )
The Dogmother
Oh dear, run it under cold water and kiss it better. I've never done that, but then I wear thick black rubber gloves when I clean out the eglu.
