bantam125
Hi I have chickens previously we had a wooden coop and let the girls free range however we had problems with red mite and Mr Fox eventually after a while took 4 of girls. So when they had all gone decided perhaps we could not have chickens and then spotted the Eglu's which I think should be just great. Can anyone advise if we were just having a couple of chickens should we go for the Classic or Go. I want to be able to move it around the garden to give them fresh ground to peck away at, and dont want them to free range after previous experience's so was thinking we might need the extension to keep them happy. Also we have 2 dogs we did not have previously I have read all the info about introducing the dogs to the Eglu and chickens but anyone know if certain breeds tolerate dogs better than others dont want the chucks having a heartache if the dogs are looking at them or barking. All advice greatly appreciated
LuckyChickenLover-
If you're only going to have a couple of chickens I would recomend the Go as it is cheaper and smaller (so you could move it around the garden). Both the Go and the Classic house the same ammount of chickens ( up to 4). Sorry, I don't know anything about the dogs though. Hope that helped
squidsin
The dimensions of the Classic and the Go are virtually identical. The main difference seems to be that the Classic is easier to clean (the house comes apart) and the Go has a door on the side as well as the end of the run (which would actually have been really useful). I ummed and aaahed over them both for ages but went for the Classic as I think it looks cuter! It's quite a hefty piece of kit (much heavier than I thought) so you'd need help moving it about the garden I should think. But looks great! ValerieR
I can move mine myself - grab the run at the top of the archway and lean back and use your whole body weight! Mind you I am pretty hefty - if you were 8 stone |I doubt that would work
Geoid
There is only £30 difference between the two with runs. If you were going for one without a run, I would choose the Go. Although the Go doesn't have the egg port on the side.
