Thanks for all the nice responses :)

 

Wham? Is that where the names are from? He found a couple of chickens when he was a kid and that what they were called so he used the names again :lol:

 

They are ranging from about 17 to 19 weeks, sold as POL but no eggs yet.

 

They line up to preen themselves before bed but it still took ages to get all their heads up, should have heard some of the noises i was making to get their attention :oops:

 

They are my first lot. They are great! I didn't think i'd get so attached but they are such little personalities.

 

Pepsi looks at you and you know she has you sussed, she just wants to be involved in everything! Shirley is shy and gentle but still likes to investigate. Penelope is like a bull in a china and lets the others check it out first and then marches over to take control :lol:

 

I think the green Eglu is the most popular - it has the most reviews anyway :) It blends a little better in the garden i think.

 

The chicken closest to the camera, Penelope, is a hybrid. She is a Crestie from Merrydale Poultry. The photo doesn't really do her justice - she has a grey/beige body and then a golden blonde neck. Should see her in the sun :wink:
