Dose anybody know of and chicken breeders in kent apart from ben.Were after hybrirds POL my girls are getting lazy so ill get some young ones to show them what its all about

I got my 6 from Ben, but I was also recommended CAPRALAMA http://www.capralama.freeserve.co.uk/ and High Down http://www.highdownpoultry.co.uk/Poultry%20Prices.htm both are near Ashford

I wasn't too keen on capralama myself. The birds are mega expensive and kept in quite small runs.

You could have a look at the ads on preloved, there's a few sellers on there. Just be wary of a lady that keeps her chickens in Lenham. I had a pants experience with her.

Hi l went and got 2 new hens today there 16 weeks old and there hybirds l paid £15 each.Speckled star and light sussex.The lady gave me loads of advice and if l get any problems or have any questions just ask.I got them from

http://www.chickenandchicks.co.uk/# hope this helps I did not go to hen house poultry as the last 4 ive had from there 2 have died at just 2 years and the 3rd one cost me £160 at the vet the 4th is fine but l felt id rather go some else all my other hens have been fine.Thought it might have been a bad batch or somthing but you never know Shall see how these lovely ladys go

Our new girls l picked out the speckeled star and my daughter picked the light sussex

They seem quite scared at the moment but im leaving the to settle over the next week and just doing what l need to l sat on the bench in there run and there did come out which is when l got some pics of them but l want them to learn to trust me.But they are lovely seems funny to have babies again.Will be gettong more in 2 week 3 ex battery girls so l will be busy which is how l like it

Is Ruxleys in Sidcup too far to go? I got my Bluebelle and Light Sussex x from there and they are the most friendly and inquisitive girlies. They were £18. They had some ginger and white ones and a couple of speckeldy type ones when I was up there on Friday as well as 1 Bluebelle. I think they change the stock quite quickly.

 

Its a garden centre too and has a coffee shop so you could have a little pootle around.

That's the one. They are out the back behind the pet part of the store. They've only been there since April and as I say they seem to have quite a quick turnover.
