Good Luck With GCSEs & Other Exams!

Funny,we have had that too.

Cleo was told that part of her Media Diploma work was an A*,but has now actually got a C,as she wasn't taught half the stuff that she was meant to do

Ridiculous.....the teacher also said it was her (Cleos) fault, for not checking properly......

What has really upset her, is the time that she has invested in the coursework and the revision of what they had done. We will just have to see what her overall mark turns out to be, she does have a tendency to look on the black side because she is a perfectionist.

She has just had her final Physics module and said that it went very well, a lot of people said that it was hard, so now she is worried that she missed something. She will worry good or bad. :?

DS has his Geology this afternoon, hopefully that will go well, fingers crossed.

The "Brat" finished school forever today !!!!

She's been at the same school from age 3-18, (Reception, Junior, Senior, Lower & Upper sixth form).

Only has to go back for 5 "A-Level" exams (Business, Geography & Classics)

plus Leavers Barb-a-cue, Upper Sixth Prom and Leavers Ball (2 x Prom Dresses) and final Speech Day/Garden Party.

I've paid my final school fees and am now seriously considering retiring a day per week with the money I'll save.

Happy Days

I had maths C2 exam yesterday, which was ok, I think I got the bulk of it right and have probably lost 15 marks tops. General consensus was that it was a hard paper and so grade boundaries will be lower. On the plus side if I get a B it will be boosted up by the C1 retake I did on Monday, as I think that went really well.

Just Biology, Physics and Stats modules to go now.

My ED has Maths this afternoon, she has gone in at normal time this morning so that she doesn't have to worry about getting there on time. She is spending the morning in the library revising, but no doubt she will wander into toen with her friends at some point.

I think she did loads of revision last week, she is so fed up with it all now and can't wait for her prom on 29th for which she has made her own dress. :D

Yes ES has information dripping out of his ears after a busy week revising. Just needs to get on with it now. He may come home in between exams depending how confident he feels after his morning exam otherwise he will go to his friend's house near school.

and can't wait for her prom on 29th for which she has made her own dress. :D

I'm impressed :)

Psychology for my eldest today - the one that couldn't run earlier this year due to the snow.
Oh yes, I remember, hope it goes well :)

DS had final AS exam today...physics which was apparently a really piggy paper (judged so because the brightest girl in the class.a straight A student didn't manage to finish it!! )..I find myself getting cross about the way they arbitrarily move the goal posts from year to year. Physics is already acknowledged as one of the most difficult A levels to get good grades in...grrrr

I think my son had that one: waves, particles and electrons? He said it was tough, too, and he's good at Physics.

Which board is he on? I took my Physics AS exam yesterday too, (OCR B, advancing physics). I actually found it really good, this was the exam I was most worried about. There was an odd question about Seisometers, but generally it was ok.

Just Stats to go now, one week tomorrow! I need luck for this one, as we've only just finished the syllabus.

That Physics paper sounds tough, this should bring the grade boundaries down though, good luck to all that took it.

My ED had french Listening this morning, which is her weakest subject by far, she usually get a C or lower, but got a B in her mock, she thinks that this was back to a C again but hopes that the grades in her other French exams will boost it a bit.

She has English this afternoon. She started the day very badly because she had lost her clear pencil case with her only black pens in it. She flew into a complete panic, only telling us 10 minutes before she was due out of the door. We found her an alternative couple of pens and tried to calm her down. She had been into town after her exam yesterday and had repacked her bag a couple of times when shopping and after she got on the bus. She was really worried that she had left it somewhere. She had, at school in her form room! Her friend had picked it up for her, haven't worked out when the friend found it and why she hadn't let Becca know, I wonder if it could have saved panic central this morning.:?

She was much happier when I spoke to her after her French exam.
