Redwing
Dont worry, I dont think its a particularly well known term, I think when we were all planning them we just got sick of typing it so it was shortened - I cant remember who did that, maybe ANH, she was (and still is) hopelessly WIR obsessed
meezers
Dont worry, I dont think its a particularly well known term, I think when we were all planning them we just got sick of typing it so it was shortened - I cant remember who did that, maybe ANH, she was (and still is) hopelessly WIR obsessed Next question may be 'what does ANH stand for '? It's surprising when you stop to think how many terms and shorthand are unique to this forum , and VERY embarrassing when you find yourself using it out loud to non forum people. I don't know how many times I've just stopped myself from referring to my OH or announced to a non chook person that Muppet is 'pancaking' or that one of the chooks has done a 'curry sauce'
Redwing
ANH - Aint "Ooops, word censored!"ody Here - a forum member I've used the term pancaking in general conversation lately - my husband is used to me talking rubbish but friends have been a bit surprised
atsw
In fact, the term WIR has become so commonly used on this forum, that many have now adopted a new term, namely a 'Tony'. This is a WIR specifically designed and built by a chap called Tony, who runs a specialist Aviary company called Aviaries4U. There's a picture of my 'Tony' in my signature link . Tutti Frutti
Maybe there should be a stickie like the Omlet Dictionary but for common terms and TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms)
chicken bark
There is some generic abbreviations under the 'how to use the forum' section, but maybe you are right and a forum specific list should be added.
