Maggots in my fridge!

Recommended Posts

:vom: its horrible at this time of the year isn't it. We have a big brown wheelie bin for garden cuttings and leftover food and no matter how much I wrap it up you can bet I'll get the horrible little things at least a couple of times during the summer. They really turn my stomach.

Would the men be wearing nice white jackets?:lol:

Why do they dye the maggots in the first place
It is not so much that they dye them but that the feed them different, powdered food, to make them attractive to different types of fish.

I once opened a box, which I thought contained maggots, in the garage, as it seemed to be moving, and hundreds of green flies flew out. it was like something from a horror movie.

If the box is buzzing - take it outside!

We have a garage fridge too, almost exclusivly used for hubbys fishing maggots & beer 8)

My dad ended up having the same, when my mum got completely hacked off with finding loose maggots in the fridge (and casters in the freezer). My dad was adamant they couldn't be his as they were in bait boxes with lids on (yeah, right).

He also used to breed his own maggots on dead meat in the garage. Yum.

you know the forum is definately dealing with the more shall I say controversial topics, PC it ain't - maggots in fridge, BO and dogs eating chicken poo - suspect needs health warning and eating whilst reading to be discouraged - I often munch my toast in the morning reading and giggling at posts - I may leave it a bit longer in future - despite being a nurse and used to the "finer" things in life even I draw a line at eating and reading some of topics. :vom:
