We went to our Goddaughter/neice's confirmation party a couple of weeks ago. So lovely seeing all the girls in their long white dresses.

My first communion dress was hideous, a hand me down nylon affair YUK!

I went to a convent school but was C of E so I was insanely jealous of all those girls in their communion gowns...on the odd times we made it into our local Catholic church...I also used to be fascinated by all those ladies in their mantilla style scarves they wore back in the 60s (perhaps still do) they were so exotic...for Bognor!
