Ygerna
... but, as there are only 5 pay days for me before Christmas I am looking for ideas for things to make between now and then, gifts, house decorations, that kind of thing. I usually leave it till the last minute and then make such a rushed mess of it all that I give up and then go shopping for emergency presents. What have you done in the past, which you would recomend oh, and sorry again

Tutti Frutti
I made pamper hampers one year - mini bottle of wine, some chocs, tube of hot chocolate, some dunking biscuits. Another year, I bought cheap glass tea-light holders from Ikea and used glass paints to decorate and added an assortment of cheap tea-light scented candles. And beer glasses, glass painted as well!!! ubereglu
I've made cushions, knitted brooches, scarves and gloves, made jewellery, biscuits and cakes for people and decorated items too. I've done some glass painting for people, as well as painting and make a lot of my own cards with bits and pieces I've saved from things-eg, old ribbons, different coloured card and magazines. I also make bags and things too.
AJuff
It's not as silly as you think planning early as it takes me a while to finish stuff and I have more time in the summer to do this. You have me thinking now!!!

Christian
*dashes in singing Jingle Bells* You NEVER have to apologise for mentioning Christmas Ygerna! You are in good company! Have already made a start on my shopping Christmas puds are being made this month if I get a chance. Maybe in August. They make lovely pressies if you wrap them nicely, add a cinnamon stick, dried orange slices and a pretty ribbon.

Ygerna
Just adding to this post as Etsy are having a Christmas in July sale. If you are not feeling very crafty, or if you like to support those that are, might be worth a look A list of those taking part is on FB...http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=14829&uid=159145079469 (note to mods, I don't think this breaks any rules, (apart from using the C word in July, but if it does, my apologies and please delete)
