Alis girls
I was telling OH and boys about this old lady who had fell outside the supermarket and smashed up her nose - and was helping till ambulance arrived. ES 14 then told us a few weeks ago at golf club an elderly gent had fallen and they were struggling to get him up. ES all of 6ft , muscle and attitude went up and said " you need a man" (dont we all? ) and helped the old man up with the others. He was rewarded with some golf balls as it turned out the old guy was the chair. I was sooo proud I was almost sobbing in my dinner. See - not all teens are bad. had to share this. patsylabrador
Good man, that does make you proud - you're right, they're not all bad, but the good ones don't make the news.
The Dogmother
What a lovely lad. you have every right to feel proud. Good that he was grateful too.... I'm no teenager, but an older chap fell in the park yesterday while I was walking Ruby. I went rushing over as he didn't get up straight away, offered my help, and all I got was a mouthful of abuse he may have been embarrassed, but at least he could have been courteous! Tiggy
most teens agre great, I love it when ours bring friends round, but they dont hit the news do they!!! as for your chap Claret, sounds like a right grumpy old so & so

majuka
Bless him, not surprised you are proud - so many teenagers get such a bad reputation and yet there are so many really good ones.
Seagazer
Well done your son Definitely a proud mum moment. You've obviously done a sterling job in bringing him up. Claret, oh dear, that's a shame about the old man. As you say he might have been embarrassed or just a grumpy old man. I have to say that all the teenagers I know are very polite and lovely. One young man even helped me and my OH clear up after ES's 18th birthday (ES had already gone to bed ) Bless him - he's my favourite
docsquid
Oh, well done that lad! You must be very proud of him - a really gallant young gentleman!
chickencam
Well done your son. As a mother of 2 and soon to be 3 teenagers, I have to say that they are not all bad, quite the opposite, most are great with just a few dodgy ones. It is great when they make you proud. sadietoo
Well done that chap!! Yes teenagers do get bad press. I have one ( and one who has just left her teens). They are bright, amusing, articulate, and sensitive (most of the time ). Their friends are equally lovely, and I am immensely proud of them all. alih
What a great story! I have 2 teens and an added extra by way of ED's boyfriend who virtually lives here and I love them all - those who malign them clearly haven't met individual teens! Well done your boy, I would have wept in my dinner too!!
