where is frankie
My gorgeous blackrock fergie has escaped. She has been missing all night and not returned this morning. Does anyone have any advice. Should I report her missing with the police? Has anyone ever had a lost chicken returned? Very worried
Egluntyne
I'd have a good hunt round under bushes and in out houses etc, and post notes through your neighbour's doors. I'm not sure that there is much the police will be able to do. I'd also keep going out and calling her in your usual way. If she is in earshot, she might respond. Good luck. hippy chick
I'd check all upturned containers, plant pots and any outbuilding. I remember someone losing a chicken and finding it much later under an upturned plant pot. I would also ask the neighbours if they could check in their gardens. Good luck, I hope you find her. Tutti Frutti
Don't lose hope, I remember a girl went missing on the Isle of Man and came home days later. Another was found in a shed days after she went missing! I think I'd check branches in trees when dusk comes, in case she's roosting. I'd also be rattling the mealworm tub! I don't know if leaving food out is a good idea - might attract rodents But then again, might attract her home. I hope you find her soon
Chucky Mama
I'd give local vets a ring as people often take found animals there.
Mercedes55
You could also try just printing out a few flyers and putting them on lamp posts close to where you live in case someone finds her and isn't sure where to take her. Hope you do find her soon.

AJuff
Here's hoping she turns up . . . Daisy our white star hides in the apple trees so do check about.
craftyhunnypie
I hope she turns up. You've not got any upside down plantpots have you. If so, please check she is not underneath! Search all trees & bushes with a torch. Leave a trail of sweetcorn from bushes to the coop for her tomorrow - worth a try. Emma.x
