Elaine-chick
I've been feeding my 3 ex-bat girlies on Allen & Paige Smallholder ex-bat pellets (they adopted me in May !). Valerie has had a few problems with difficult eggs and then Edna on one occasion. So I thought I might try to introduce layers pellets - thinking it may be more suitable to their needs. I've been mixing the 2 types of feed with no problems for about 3 weeks but have only just noticed in small print (on removable label) "This product contains unmolassed sugarbeet and must be soaked and fed as per feed guidelines". I have just been mixing it in with their usual pellets dry. By the way they are all fit and healthy but I was worried that I may be doing them some harm Help anyone ?? Mollie333
Excuse my ignorance! (( Welcome to the forum! )) They will probably be fine, if they have been on it for 3 weeks and they look OK, then its OK i guess.
Redwing
I wouldnt have thought that any brand of layers pellets would have to be soaked Perhaps the label is from a bag of sugar beet pellets and ended up on the layers pellet bag by mistake..
