Cate in NZ
Oh, poor Lauren I hope she's OK. I don't know much about it at all, but joints shouldn't dislocate that easily, takes quite a bit of effort to knock them out usually . I think her shoulder's been unstable for a bit , but thumbs and now hip....... that really doesn't sound right. Maybe this new event will get the doctors thinking a bit harder to try to get to the bottom of it. Horrible for her. How are the bees this morning And Iona
Aunty e
Poor Lauren. I dislocated my hip an awful lot as a kid, and I have hypermobility in most of my joints, and it leads to terribly painful dislocations and rather oddly, a degree of inflexibility as you learn to hold your joints into the sockets VERY tightly. Hope the doctors can help, but I found Pilates a great help for my dodgy joints, or yoga is also good.
Lesley
Thanks for all the best wishes to Lauren - she had physio. this afternoon for her shoulder but they wouldn't look at her hip until she's been referred by her GP. I have a degree of hypermobility and so does my (ex) husband. His daughter from his second marriage has a big problem with hypermobility in her ankles and has had operations on them. It looks like Lauren is going the same way. Iona is doing well - we're just about to go and inject her The bees are lovely - Lauren and Jake came to have a look tonight. We need to open the hive to see if they need more syrup.......... ........... guess what everyone will be getting for Christmas this year? How stupid is that when she's been rushed to hospital in an ambulance? how much referral do we need? The NHS is stupidly bound up in procedures. Poor Lauren. As she's been to visit you, I imagine she is a lot better though.
theherd123
Crikey Lesley! You must have been very wicked in a former life as you never seem to get a rest! Oh poor Lauren, what a shocking time she is having lately i do hope they get things sorted out for her. A little girl should not be spending the majority of time in hopsitals & doctors surgeries Im do hope Iona continues to improve and your bees are really I love the pink hive - very swish! Snowy
Oh Lesley - poor Lauren! Do hope she feels better soon and that the docs get to the bottom of it all. The bees look great - as does the pink hive! And does Jazz no longer have dog breath??
Lesley
Jazz smells divine!! Yankee Candle Cotton Fresh - or something like that Lauren was still hobbling yesterday - and had to take another day off school I had to take them to the hospital as daughter has Brachalgia in her hands and is unable to drive (and her car is off the road at the moment) Jake had twisted his ankle at school, and I still don't walk too well - I parked in one of the (many, and all empty) disabled spaces at the new Healthcentre next to the hospital as it was nearer to the Physio centre. I was hot and bothered and just daring someone to say something "Ooops, word censored!"ody did We are going to buy another hive soon - off Ebay to save money - I will probably paint that one baby blue - or mauve, pale green or creamy yellow

Love the bees, although I think I'd be a bit anxious if I had to lift them out and hold them like that. I'd have to wear a full (pink!) fencing suit of course
Lesley
I could dye my beesuit couldn't I? - to match my Crocs wellies They make beesuits in colours now - Sage, Sand of Camouflage - I think there is a gap in the market for Pink/Blue/Cath Kidston
