chicken bark
I hate it when mine have those sort of days. They do pick the worst times to play up. It feels like everyone and everything is demanding something of you and you have nothing left to give. xxx
CallyChook
well, my lovely little boy was a monster all day, right until bed time. No idea what has gotten into him, he's normally so lovely and kind, but has tormented the cats to the point of me having to send him to bed for purposefully stomping on Riches' tail. He also screamed all evening at full belt despite OH asking nicely (and then not so nicely) to not shout when he is less than a foot away fro his ear. It's not even a full moon so I can't blame natural cycles for his overactivity. It's taken all of Masterchef to calm me down! Still no sign of baby, so anyone who has suggested the earlier parts of Wednesday, I'm afraid it's not looking good! She's thrashing around a lot and causing me lots of SPD pain, but no contracting going on and nothing "new" or unusual to the pain. Bah humbug. After today's nightmare, I've arranged my best mate to come over while her tiny terror is in nursery tomorrow 9-11.30. Maybe that'll help keep me buoyant and cheery before my sister picks me up to go for the sweep. I don't care if the midwife comes at me with a yardbrush, nevermind a gloved hand - the more brutal she is the more I will love her. I've told my sis (who will be on the other side of the curtain with the wee laddy) that if she doesn't hear me yelping she is to encourage the midwife!! One of my more mystical friends has said that it is very unlike a Libran to be so stubborn, and maybe the little one is going to wait to be a Scorpio. Apart from the daggers which must have been transmitted via broadband, I replied that I am a scorpio and while selfish and melodramatic, I am not stubborn. I have a sagittarean husband and the DS is a capricorn - that's enough of that kind of behaviour in our household. This little miss is required to restore female balance, and a libran is best for that. Come on madam!!!!
Chucky Mama
Still no sign of baby, so anyone who has suggested the earlier parts of Wednesday, I'm afraid it's not looking good! ! chicken bark
CallyChook - I don't know if there is anyone else's posts on here that are met with such anticipation. Every time I see you name pop up I think 'yes?' As if you are going to be in a position to post on here when it actually happens. That would be one cool home birth. 'The connections gone dear - fix it for me NOW. No...not the TENS machine ... the broadband has gone down'. I'll get my coat..
CallyChook
hehehe, hubby is as bad with facebook as I am on here I am actually planning on sharing the news ASAP, as I am just one of those people who never stops! I have a list of friends wanting texts at the first twinge which is 21 people long, and then about the same again all wanting first photos sent!! My australian-emigrated cousin is wanting the news as it happens and has left her MSN on permanently for two weeks now so that she can be "binged" immediately! After having my son and escaping prison with him (aka the hospital) it was about 2 hours before we were wandering the aisles of Tescos. I had elderly ladies coming over to say what a gorgeous baby and how new was he, a week or two? To which the answer was "actually he is 25 hours new!".... I'm not the type to let a horrendous tear with 49 stitches take me off my feet I think that when labour does start (so long as i get to stay home!) I will post on here, as it'll keep me busy during that bit at the start where you feel all wonky but can't settle. Obviously once we really get started then there'll be a break, but reading everyone's posts on here has practically kept me sane the last few days. The more overdue I get the more internet addicted I am! It beats watching England playing on the telly anyways.

CallyChook
off to bed... hubby is under orders again to do his part in getting this baby moving! I give it three minutes before I either giggle myself off the bed or cramp up and have to waddle off to get a hot water bottle!!!!

Is it an old wives tale about walking barefoot in sand - does the trick? Best go get yourself some builders sand! Emma.x

CallyChook
had the sweep, wasn't too bad at all - not exactly pleasant but it wasn't uncomfy either. Anyways, not feeling any different now, not twingy or gripey. Oh well. And my favourite midwife is on call tonight too come on babs, come when Dawn's on!!
