Is she dying? ** Sad update

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Charlie is only 2 years old, a Lohmans Brown hybrid and until this morning was full of live running around the garden, chasing the new girls and eating lots of food.

Today she wont come out of the eglu, is all hunched up and isn't interested in flapping or anything when I pick her up.

She has also had yellow diahorrea.

I had another chicken who exhibited these syptoms in the summer who died overnight, I just thought she had a softie but it turned out to be something more.

Is there anything I can do or I should I just let nature takes it course?

I took her to the vets, however she was very weak and on the way there she suffered a heart attack I think because there was a bit of commotion in her box but when we arrived she had died. :(

I asked the vet to do a post mortem as this is the second chicken I have lost in this way in the last two months and I would like to know if there is anything I can do if it happens again.

Sad times. :(:(
