The oldest cat that we have owned lived until she was 19, she was still chasing her tail until 2 weeks before she passed away. My Mum's elderly cat died about a month ago and he was 18.5. He adores children and spends much of his time sat outside the infant school at the end of our road He gets lots of fuss there and comes home when he can be bothered My first ever cat, Ezzie, died two months after he celebrated his 18th birthday. Ollie was PTs as he had a brain tumour which took four months to diagnose and Daisy who was 13 and got hit by a car one night. My cat Tybalt is long gone, but he survived to 19 despite a serious road accident at the age of 6 months, which left him with only three legs. Jaffa is at least 20 now and has been at death's door for the last 6 years or so according to the vets. He is going senile and will yowl for no reason and forget where he is or that he has been fed! When I got her I would never have thought that I would have children that would get to play with her.
