my wonderful cat Collin is 18 in January. does anyone have a cat older than him?

 

I'm thinking of having a big party for him as he's coming of age. key of the door and all that...

Congratulations to Colin though. My oldest is only 12 I'm afraid (although she is the oldest cat I've ever owned)

The oldest cat that we have owned lived until she was 19, she was still chasing her tail until 2 weeks before she passed away.

 

My Mum's elderly cat died about a month ago and he was 18.5.

 

We once met a 24 year old Siamese cat on holiday.

Awwwww bless his little kitty socks! My cat's only about 20 months old. My mum has a Chihuahua dog who is 17 tomorrow.

Our eldest is Joseph, he's 11 now and I love him to bits. He adores children and spends much of his time sat outside the infant school at the end of our road He gets lots of fuss there and comes home when he can be bothered

 

My first ever cat, Ezzie, died two months after he celebrated his 18th birthday. I still miss him.

those are great ages. our oldest got to 15, having moved house with us 3 times, and been with us since she was a 6 week old semi-feral kitten.

the current lot are Salem, almost 10, and the boys - Sootie and Stanley, 15 months.

We had cats that lived till ages 12 and 13. Ollie was PTs as he had a brain tumour which took four months to diagnose and Daisy who was 13 and got hit by a car one night. She had spinal shock and lasted for two weeks after being hit before being PTS. We now have 4 year old Tyson and 6 year old Rosie.

My puss cat Jake, who stayed with my parents when I went off to Uni will be 18 in June, so Colin beats him by a couple of months too

Ahh - many happy returns to Collin. My cat Tybalt is long gone, but he survived to 19 despite a serious road accident at the age of 6 months, which left him with only three legs.

My parents had a 20 year old Birman who was a real character, but since then we've had/got moggies and the oldest one of those died at 14.

Ooooh sorry but my RSPCA rescue cat beats him by 2 years. Jaffa is at least 20 now and has been at death's door for the last 6 years or so according to the vets. He is going senile and will yowl for no reason and forget where he is or that he has been fed! He gets away with all sorts now

My last cat had to be put to sleep at 21, which I think is a great age. When I got her I would never have thought that I would have children that would get to play with her. My current feline is 7 weeks old
