Alis girls
Put some in pots last autumn - they look heathly - how much water should I give bearing in mind soil is wet and frozen and when do I start feeding. Someone here has a fantastic crop last year - I think it was Lesley - need to pick your brains please.
Lesley
oo-er........I've never grown it in pots! I would just keep an eye on the pots and as soon as the weather warms up keep the soil moist. It will be dormant at the moment but will start growing again in Spring.
Alis girls
Thanks Lesley - do you feed yours _ Tomorite? I might transfer to the allotment if I ever get it organised
Jools
I'm watching this thread as I'm planning to grow my garlic in pots this year. I usually grow a whole raised bed full, but I've been tempting fate with my crop rotation, so I'm doing a few in pots instead.
Lesley
No, I haven't ever used feed for garlic.
