Has anyone tried the new Newspaper, i?

I bought it today as my usual was sold out. It was only 20p, & I am very impressed.

It has all the news,nicely set out,plus some fashion & a nice gadgety bit too. I may be trying it again

I have seen it advertised, but haven't given it a go yet as I keep forgetting....will give it a whirl.

I like it too, I don't usually buy a paper everyday as I think it's too expensive but I can buy 5 copies of i for the price of 1 copy of The Times

I have read it once before it started to be advertised. It was pretty good but I read the 'newspapers' online for free.

We have it, because I stopped being able to afford the Guardian every day. I like having a paper in the house for the girls to read, always read the papers growing up..although it was the Daily hateMail or the Times back then...I think its not a bad paper, I prefer the big Indy or the Grauniad...despite spelling errors..although not as bad as our local rag. the Leicester Mercury......it's shockingly bad!!

I've seen the adverts and I like the look of it but I don't have time to read a newspaper everyday, so usually just listen to Radio 4 on the way to work in the morning (sometimes interspersed with Chris Evans, depending on whether the subject interests me or not) and buy a Saturday Guardian...which is my treat of the week!

For thoser who don't have time for a daily paper, we get something called "The Week" which is a weekly news magazine delivered by post - you sometimes see it in bigger newsagets as well - I will try the new paper too when I next see it though - anyobne know if it has Sudoku - I'm an addict !

OH bought one this morning, so I've just had a sken through it. Impressed - short snippets of relevent news; no long rambling bits that i had to skip because I didn't have time to read them, and no long, rambling and irrelevent 'opinions'.

So far, I like it.

This was launched in October last year and shares the same editorial staff.

I am not a fan of The Indy but if you want a quick, easily read precis of a "quality newspaper" you probably could do worse.

On the subject of newspapers.........I HATE the way Rupert Murdoch has put a charge on The Times online so I don't read it anymore.

PS I often buy it when I am visiting my daughter in London and going anywhere on the train, better than the Evening Standard which is now as bad,worse, than its stablemate.
