Falkor
Hi All BHWT Northants have a rehoming day on Sunday 27th February 2011. If you would like to offer some of these lovely ladies a home please make contact with us and we will call you to discuss your and the hens requirements. Collection will be from Brackley and the pick up time for rehomers is usually between 1pm and 3.30pm but we will need to confirm this nearer the time. Contacts for Northants are anna.whiteside@bhwt.org.uk or emma.palmer@bhwt.org.uk (me). Alternatively you can call head office on 01769 580310 If you are closer to St Neots, Beds a small number of hens can be made available for collection on Monday 28th Feb but limited spaces are available so please register your interest with Emma as soon as possible. We also occasionally have some cockerels that are looking for good homes if anyone can help. Many thanks Emma (Falkor) and Anna (Dappy Chick) and the rest of the Northants Team BHWT

Falkor
We still have about 100 in need of homes. I think the free range farm down the road which is rehoming it's hens is affecting are Rehomer numbers. It will be heart wrenching to have to leave girls in their cages knowing their fate and never having had the chance to see daylight. If anybody is thinking of adding some hens to their flock or just starting out please consider some lovely, cute, friendly, loving and entertaining exbatts. Please Remember we are a charity and ask for a donation for our hens. Any money raised goes back into the charity to work with the egg industry to improve welfare standards. Space Chick
you can find homes for the last 100, I am in awe of the work that you guys do, giving up so much of your spare time for no financial reward to help these poor little girls. Well done honey

Snoxy
Ex batts are FANTASTIC so if you have space for some of these fabulous girls PLEASE get in contact with Emma I didn't realise the free range farm rehoming would affect the BHWT rehoming next Sunday so much The thought of some of the ex batts having to remain in cages, never having seen daylight, makes me very Rehoming 5 ex batts for me personally is the BEST thing I have done since I became a hen-keeper...I wish I had done it sooner
Falkor
May I post the rehoming details on Facebook? Please do It is great that the Free Range hens are being saved but yes, I think some of the people that would of rehomed hens from us next weekend have arranged hens from the Free Range Farm so where we thought we would be in-undated with requests for hens we haven't been. I will be doing some shuffling at home but I don't think I can shuffle enough to fit 100 in
