Barbara Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Hi OSH, I was just about to reply to your email but I might as well post on here in case anyone else is having problems with notifications for topics not arriving. There are some problems with Omlet emails being treated as spam by some service providers and I'm getting these notification messages returned to me by the Postmaster as my email address is also the forum email address. The problem with hotmail accounts seems to have been sorted out now because I haven't received any undelivered emails for these for a few days now. However, AOL accounts are still being affected along with a few others so bear with us. The technical boys are working on it and I'm sure they will get round the problem eventually. In the meantime, I'm afraid you'll need to keep an eye on the topics when you log in and I'm really sorry about the inconvenience this causes. Hopefully it's only a temporary glitch though. Turns out the sender address was different. And now, since I added a new rule to cover this, I have had none! I get mine through Outlook. The Dogmother Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 Part of the problem would seem to be that posting on a thread doesn't now automatically 'subscribe' you to it as happened in the past, thus generating an email notification to subsequent posts. For instance, I am only currently getting emails for very old threads that I was subscribed to, if I click on 'View your posts' then i can see all the threads which I have participated in/am following, but when I open any of those threads, I am not already subscribed to them. It seems to be glitchy Also, posting on a thread doesn't automatically subscribe you to it as it used to do, so you can only see if there are further posts on that thread by clicking on the 'View your posts' link at the top of the page. If you want to receive emails, then you need to click the 'Subscribe topic' link at the bottom of the page. Looking at the user control panel, we no longer have the option to be emailed or not.
