freddie
Is doing the rounds, and...... DS has it. So we're all "in isolation", as my Dr put it. She's been really poorly, and apparently the NHS have warned all GPs to be on the lookout. So onto www, and look it up, everyone!!!

Mrs Webmuppet
Get well soon. There was a note home from LMW school a while ago to be on the look out for Scarlet Fever as well as a couple of other childhood illnesses I had never heard of, as several children had been reported as suffering from them. chickenNutter
Huge commiserations, DS had it aged 4 and felt very poorly. Hope you don't catch it too - it is really horrid for adults apparently. Plenty of fluids and spoiling I think!

PurpleTree
A boy in the year above Dan had it over Christmas. Was talking to his mum the other week about it and she was telling me they took him to the docs twice and both times was told it was just a virus He got worse and worse and developed an ear infection, eventually saw a different doctor who recognised the symptoms straight away, did blood test and throat swabs to be sure, and started him on the antibiotics. They still don't know where he got it from and the school never sent any letters out telling us to be on the lookout, despite the little boy having been in school whilst being poorly. The doctor who did diagnose correctly, made excuses for the other one, saying she was fairly young and probably hadn't seen it before. I thought it was one of those diseases that had pretty much died out.
Alis girls
It still crops up occasionally - as did scartina which ES had when he was 4ish - he also had hand foot and mouth another odd one that does the rounds now and then.
