Good news that it's nothing serious poor Sophie has obviously hurt herself and got swelling and/or bruising that's causing the problem. Hopefully she'll be as right as rain soon. Sending her big hugs from Bollo, Naboo, Kiki & myself. xxx

She's got the major hump with me today and will not come near me I wish they could understand that we have to take them to the vets to make them better.

 

Hopefully she'll come down for her usual evening cuddle later.

I dont know if other animals sulk like cats but when they do its a major mega hump isnt it - hope you got your cuddle. I love a cuddle with a furry beast - Honey sticks her nose in my ear and licks my hair - I think she thinks I'm a big cat

She deigned to sit on me in the evening as per usual. Phew! Its not the same without her keeping my lap warm in the evening.

Liz, she's no better I'm afraid, its still just hanging down and its still hurting her. I am managing to get the metacam down her so at least she's having something for the pain.

 

It looks like its either going to take a lot longer or as the vet said she might never regain the use of her tail. I think its just the fact that she seems so uncomfortable that's upsetting.

What a shame, that said muscular injuries can take a long time to come right, and she is an older lady, so fingers crossed.

Liz, thank you, yes she now has slight movement in her tail and it doesn't seem to be so painful for her. It still doesn't hang quite right though. She's definitely a bit wobbly on her back legs though so I wonder if its something to do with her back/back legs. I just dose her up with the metacam when she seems to be a bit achy.

I am glad there is a slight improvement and that you are managing to keep her comfortable with the metacam, I remember this having an amazing effect on my old cat Toffee when she became arthritic, she would run upstairs ans then look confused about how she got there so fast
