SusieT
Great, I will be tuning in. I stopped watching it when he left as I didn't like the new presenters or the format. I think a lot of people switched off and the ratings dropped, obviously other people found them irritating too.
redbug
Love the introduction music
gonetoearth
I think Gardeners world is better with Monty Don back! Loved to see his chickens wandering around the orchard... anyone know what species of very pretty chook they are?
WitchHazel
Love the introduction music Some gardening mad friends of mine had it as their music for her to walk up the aisle...
redbug
How wonderful. It gives you a happy warm feeling like a summers day.
bevmatt
Might start watching again - stopped a couple of years ago just after Monty left. Just wasn't the same.
Lesley
I also stopped watching it when he left - and started again on Friday
Treekeeper
Felt sorry for Toby though he was pooped on from a great height apparently totally ostracised by the BBC. I didn't think he was that bad!
Jools
I really liked his down-to-earth, no-nonsense, practical style. And Alys too, she had a passion that was infectious. I think I'm alone in not liking Monty's style though!
poppy ben grace
I agree i like monty and am pleased he is back but i do feel for the ones that got the push, i thought they were great.
Tigerlily
I am also glad to see Monty back fit and well but am very upset about the way they have treated Toby and Alys I loved Alys and enjoyed The Edible Garden series and book - especially her lovely chooks and Isobel the Dog It's such a shame that The BBC couldn't have offered them a weekend show on gardening or something? I just feel they have so much to offer young up and coming gardeners about urban gardening and sustainable living in general but that's the BBC for you I am sure there would be room for both! Lesley
I didn't like Toby and Alys on GW but agree they would be brilliant in another programme - they'd make excellent inspirational gardening programmes for children.....
Old Speckled Hen
Nice to see Monty back. I do like Carol Klein though.......she's mad. She should have got the top spot when Monty left. Alys? Well, flitting about picking nasturtium flowers to eat says it all for me; she gives the appearance that that's all she eats I agree with Lesley, better on CBeebies with Gordon
bluekarin
I am also glad to see Monty back fit and well but am very upset about the way they have treated Toby and Alys I loved Alys and enjoyed The Edible Garden series and book - especially her lovely chooks and Isobel the Dog It's such a shame that The BBC couldn't have offered them a weekend show on gardening or something? I just feel they have so much to offer young up and coming gardeners about urban gardening and sustainable living in general but that's the BBC for you I am sure there would be room for both! I missed it, but am glad Monty is back and will watch again. I think Alys and Toby would make an excellent weekend gardening programme together. Maybe on a Saturday morning instead of a repeat of a week day cookery programme? I loved her Edible garden series and her little doggie was gorgeous *melts* As were the chickens
The Dogmother
I missed Monty too, he was my company while ironing of a Friday evening. A friend and I are going to see him at Gardener's World Live at the NEC in June
craftyhunnypie
Te latest magazine is very good. Free sunflower & sweet pea seeds & a real good read. Kept me entertained & quiet for ages yesterday - which is unusual for a magazine these days. I might even learn how to grow cucumbers successfully!
