RIP Penny our lemon cuckoo pekin bantam who passed away suddenly this afternoon.

 

She joined our family in January 2011 and started laying 15 March.

 

She was very sweet natured and a real character and we will miss her

AWww just read this, I lost my hen *Ruby* in January, I had her for six years and this got me thinking, every summer *Ruby* would follow me round the garden hardly ever leaving my side, I will miss her sooo much this summer. Every morning she would greet me, unlike all the other chickens, it was me first food second, I would have to sit there stroking her for a while until she decided she was hungry, it is sad when they go because each one has her own personality that you miss, just remember you were blessed with penny and she was blessed with you, even if only for a short time she was *yours* and well loved.
