WIR pics thru the different stages..

Recommended Posts

I have to admit I got lots of inspiration from your pics!! I wanted to make it on as many different layers as possible to maximise their space because we just havent got the space for a big run..we've let them have a cople of days of getting used to it all and now we are going to start adding a couple of higher levels as well!

That looks fab 8) love the ladder!

lol thanks..we're going to have to modify it a little, its a bit slippy so on every 2nd or 3rd rung i'm going to put a strip of fine sandpaper..and see if that helps-they can manage it but its a little trickier than i'd like...

btw..i got the logroll from freecycle-the run has had to be done on as much of a budget as possible-freecycle logroll, free tyre dustbath, £shop bits & pieces and really investigating and comparing prices..still cost a small fortune tho!

lol, shes a madam, thats what she is!

We wouldnt have chosen pedigrees-my o/h rehomed them when his next door neighbour was going to take them to the RSPCA-after a relationship breakdown. My o/h didnt like the idea the 2 cats might've been seperated when they had always been together so he had them, but they were in a terrible state and he had to get them both shaved into a lion cut-if you google for pics of 'persian lion cut' make sure you havent got a mouthful of coffee when you look at the images!

They take an awful lot of care but they are so lovely-temperament-wise and are now ok with the chickens-first day was a bit hairy tho

Well I've never seen that before. Don't know whether to think cute or freaky just see this one

I've got a persian and sometimes have to cut bits out I'll have a chat with her about it

She's fine with the chicken and even gone in cube like yours. Don't think she'd take on my broody girl at the moment though. All the cats have been fine and just wander in and out of them once they've had an odd peck. :D

Aaaaw bless..poor thing!

Our two didnt really have any choice, they had been really badly neglected and were in a terrible state, so bad they both needed a general anaesthetic while they were 'done' but now we manage to keep on top of their fur in general. Sometimes we do cut bits off as depending on where they are they could just matt up terribly, but in general we just brush. Have you tried a comb called a furminator? Its really good-so good we use it outside!

Great pics of your run! Nice Go!!

My friend in Sweden has a persian cat who hates being groomed, when she saw my tangleteezer hairbrush when I was there in November, she said it looked like it might be good for him, so I let her use it (on the agreement that I got it back clean!!)..........I didn't get it back, she gave me the money to buy a new one when I got home as he didnt' mind her using it and it got all of his tangles out!!!
