chuckmum6
My broody has now sat on her three eggs for 18 days now, when I turfed her out for a drink and poo, I had a sneaky listen to her eggs. It was hard to hear, as the father to be was crowing his head off, but I could definitely hear little scratchy sounds inside! So I guess they were pipping and will be putting in appearance soon. I did think my boys would be getting chicks over the Easter weekend, but it looks like I will need to get my Garvo chick feed tomorrow!!!! chuckmum6
First little chick is out , only just, the other two still in their shells but both now have broken through. I will get pics when the hatch is over. These are our own stock all Wyandottes, but only one is a pure pencilled laced, the others are a silver laced and a blue laced crossed with pencilled laced (dad), don't know what they will look like! chuckmum6
2 out now, the second it still wet and the third is busy pecking, I had a quick peek under Doily's wing and managed to get the first hatched chick to come to the front, so a very quick snap with the camera .............
