Chook n Boo Mum
£20,200 with 3 days to go.......crumbs Not for me as I'm not a big hat lover, but good for her with the end result
The Dogmother
I hope that whoever wins it has their photo taken in it. Much as I don't like it - or any decorative hat - it would look lovely one someone such as Lorraine Chase - now she could 'do' hats!

patsylabrador
I followed a link on Twitter to a video that shows a bloke making a 'beatrice hat' with paper/origami craft. I can't find it now but it's funny & quite clever.

Charlottechicken
When I looked earlier, I had a look at the bidders, and a few were new, with very little feedback. Wonder if that's anything to do with it? Or she changed her mind and pulled the listing. I think you can still do this with more than 24 hours to go even if there are bids? LuckyChickenLover-
That's a shame, especially as it was for charity. I don't know how eBay works, but presumably you have to pay for the item before it is sent to you, so why does it matter if they have feedback or not? If anyone refused to pay, why couldn't they have just offered it to the second highest bidder? (Or third or fouth etc)
Charlottechicken
Ignore me, you had to be pre-approved to bid
Chucky Mama
The bidding ended at just before 5pm when it was up to 80k. The end price is 5k but with 0 bidders The only news I can see says it still has a day to go and that Duncan Bannatyne had bid £5,000. I really want to know what happened. LuckyChickenLover-
When I click CM's link it takes me to the page for it, but theres' has a yelloew banner at the tops that says "Bidding has ended on this item", then I'm redirected to a page with similar items. If I click the top left one I'm taken back to the first page (and it's exactly the same as before, it has the spoof Lady and the Tramp and Star Trek pictures + all the rest that was there before) but the bid is £5000 and it ends on 31st May Weird. Charlottechicken
Found this on the internet Solved the mystery - just found a link to facebook site about the hat. Here's a message someone wrote who had bid on the hat. "Princess Beatrice Royal Wedding Hat by Philip Treacy was removed from eBay for breaching of one or more of our listing policies. Any offers or bids that you placed on this listing are now null and void; you don't have to complete this transaction. This listing was removed because it was listed incorrectly; therefore, the seller is free to re-list the item in the correct format. If you want to, feel free to bid on the item again if it's re-listed." I'm not on facebook so can't check. Wonder what she did wrong? Chucky Mama
According to this article HERE the listing is back up and the bidding is a £80,000. Here is the new eBay listing. It looks like they have started it with the highest bid before they had to relist.
