moochoo
As some of you know I lost all my chickens to the fox a couple of weeks ago. I'm looking into starting a new flock but quite fancy some bantams this time around. So Omleteers of the Midlands tell me where you bought your bantams from and which breeds you got there. I've found lots of pekin breeders but other bantams seem few and far between.
The Dogmother
Sarah, further to our emails, there's a bloke near Stafford who posts on the P P forum as whitestar (or similar)I've had some lovely birds from him in the past and he has quite a range of breeds too. Lewis
Ash End Farm is where we got our first banties from - Barbu d'Anvers and Pekin. Got some eggs from there last year to, Ancona, d'Anvers and Naked Neck - they don't normally sell all the bantie breeds eggs but used to work there so was allowed They have lots of breeds but not always lots of adult stock for sale so phone up and speak to someone to see what they have first Lots of mine have come from Applewood Bantams. Nugget and Pox came from beegal on Practical Poultry who rehomes chickens + is in Nuneaton. I 've nearly bought from Hoar Park Farm too.
