Bramble
I've recently put my first item on ebay The listing says that there is one bid and one watcher. Does anyone know if this means there are two people interested (i.e. the watcher and the person who has already bid) or is the bidder likely to be the watcher? Sorry, think this is a dim question, I'm just intrigued!
Ain't Nobody Here
It could be either, I think . You don't have to be a watcher to bid so it could be another interested party! Good luck . It's quite exciting when your first item sells .
Sheilaz
.... You don't have to be a watcher to bid so it could be another interested party!... ...and you don't have to be interested to be a watcher! I used to watch items solely for research, with no intention of bidding, and wonder if I unwittingly raised hopes. But it's great you have a bidder, hope it goes well. I realise that I could have millions of watchers and still not sell it, I just wondered if the bidder could also be a watcher - whether, once you make a bid, you become a bidder and not a watcher, if you know what I mean!!!!!!? Ain't Nobody Here
No, I think you can be a bidder and still a watcher .
chickencam
Be careful ebay can be addictive. i love having items listed and keep checking for bids and watchers and get very excited in the last few minutes waiting for the bids to come in, most of the bidding usually happens in the last minute. Have fun, describe acurately, communicate well, pack well, dispatch quickly and you won't go far wrong.
juliidale8
Hiya, I've found in the past that the more watchers you have on ebay the higher the item generally goes for. So having watchers is a good thing. Unfortunately you can check out who your bidders are but not your watchers.
bluekarin
You don't automatically become a watcher if you bid, so you may have two interested parties I also watch things as research either for things I want to sell to get a realistic idea of what to ask for, or how much I should pay for something. As a seller, I do get quite excited when I see my items being watched.
