craftyhunnypie
I saw this easy peasy idea & thought of Lesley! But there's a few others who might like the idea too! ( comments on the page are fine). http://sophiemakesthings.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-teacup-pin-cushion.html Emma.x
Henchanted
Brilliant idea, thanks, guess what friends are getting 4 christmas this year.......
Sheilaz
What a great idea. I love teacups. Doesn't quite seem right without tea in it, but a good excuse to have more cups and make something with the spares.
craftyhunnypie
Yes imagine it sat on a folded fat quarter, with a few haberdashery bits & wrapped in cellophane. I have the perfect vintage teacup & saucer for this! Watch this space! Emma.x
Henchanted
Sorry to be dim, but what is a 'folded fat quarter' ?
craftyhunnypie
A fat quarter is a square of fabric ( quarter of a metre I think). I don't know what that fat bit is about? You sometimes see little bits of fabric tied with ribbon or string in craft shops..those are fat quarters. Emma.x
Lesley
I saw this easy peasy idea & thought of Lesley! Not quiiiiiite sure how to take that A great idea though - I wonder what I've got left that hasn't been glued together?
Plum
I've got visions of people coming for tea and the saucer going up with the cup - oops half finished craft object. Thanks just the present for one of my friends
craftyhunnypie
Oh heck - I should think before I write. What I meant to say Lesley, was I know you liked making stuff with cups, saucers, plates etc. I wasn't implying that you are simple! Oops! I can't find my glue gun - otherwise one would have been whipped up yesterday. Grrr. Will have to get one from The Works later. Jennifer Jane
Sorry to be dim, but what is a 'folded fat quarter' ? I asked the same question of a quilter friend. Apparently it is half a metre in length, but only half the width, so it is the same area as a full width quarter metre. Does that make any sense at all??? I love the pincushion idea to - I might even be able to manage that
