Couperwife
Sing '54321' when he is stuck on a smell and wont move. I do this with Piperkit to make her come in faster she just looks at me and another one is "get out of the car" when she wont get out of the car (she likes to look out of all the windows, cos you never know if one view will be different ) cathy x
beth89
Whenever I leave the house I say 'be a good boy/girl for mummy' to my two dogs, my cat and my rabbit haha. The never respond but I know they're thinking 'asif'
LuckyChickenLover-
I talk to my bunnies about everything I think you'd need a phrasebook to work out what I'm saying though! Mummy = Me Grandma = My mum Lollypop walk = The way bunnies walk (lolloping) Licky lollypop = Salt lick Parking in my driveway! = When Grandma opens the filing cabinet next to the bunny cage Girly kale for girlies = Curly Kale Carrot Trees = Carrots with the leaves still on Trees = Broccolli Bang worms = Electrical cables Fresh air and sunshine = Outside Slippy floor = Lino Skippy running = When they run really fast and jump and twist Spaniel tail = Cream's tail (it's so long!) Radar ears = When rabbits move their ears to hear better Bigwig = When Cream moults, gets a big mound of fur on her head, so we call her Bigwig Button holes = When Cookie nibbles your clothes while you're cuddling her Bullets = Pellets Very Evil Troll = Vet! Horse food = Hay FFFFFF hay = Alfafa hay Silly name hay = Timothy hay Pinkbena = Ribena (when Cream was ill last year, the vet thought that she might get a bit dehydrated, so she told us to buy some sugar free Ribena and syringe feed it to Cream) Mulberry Bush = Armchair that the bunnies like to run around. Another dimention = The conservatory Portal = The French Windows that lead to the other dimention Ginger bits = The little bits of ginger fur behind Cream's ears Blondie bits = The little bits of light brown fur behind Cookie's ears. Conkers = Canker (apparently you should check bunnies' ears every day to make sure there's no canker in them) Hops - Hocks (apparently you should check their back feet every day too to make sure that no sores are forming) KEYS, GRANDMA! = Cream goes crazy whenever she hears Grandma's keys. She immediately stops what she's doing and stops and looks up. Lie-On Head = When Cookie sits on Cream's head (It's supposed to sound like 'Lion Head') Mad? Me? There are a few more I'm not going to say them all or I'll be here until Christmas
Lavenders_Blue
Whenever I leave the house I say 'be a good boy/girl for mummy' to my two dogs, my cat and my rabbit haha. The never respond but I know they're thinking 'asif' When Mum and Dad's dog has to stay with us, I always say 'Back soon!' as I head out of the door. The Dogmother
This afternoon, I was to be heard yelling across a field like a fishwife "Cyrus you filthy, stinking rat" As he rolled first in fox poo, then in a cow pat

The Dogmother
Naaawww, common as the muck he's just rolled in. The worst part is enduring the car ride back home with all the windows open I have a bumper pack of lime scented anti-bac wipes in the back of the van, and loads of poly gloves to get the worst off. He gets a good rub with ketchup then in the shower with bio laundry liquid when we get back.... never learns

Olly
Wellington (cat) is generally known as Welly, but also answers to Wellesley, Duke, Wells, Fatboy, The FFB (Fat Furry Beast, in case you were wondering) and The Boy. Oh, and Gutbucket, when he is hanging around the kitchen slavering as I cook meat. Claudette only has one other name. It's "Slasher". The Dogmother
There's a cat like that owned by someone on the lurcher forum... he brings in dead rabbits that he's killed for their dogs to eat
Olly
Sadly, "Slasher" refers to her contact with humans, rather than prey! One minute she'll be purring, then the ears go back and the claws are out! After years of patient persistence I can now stroke her safely but "Ooops, word censored!"ody else dares to. I think she's psychologically damaged.
The Dogmother
I had one like that... Millie... such a beautiful kitten and so loving too, but grew into a total psychopath. Shame as she was so pretty and everyone wanted to stroke her
Chortle Chook
My OH to most of my animals "Don't do that or I'll tell your Mummy" and "What did your mother just say?" This little window onto his childhood makes me laugh Me to my dogs as they circle and bark loudly up a tree when a squirrel has just raced up one: "Ask nickely now, otherwise I don't think that squirrel will be coming back down." They never do (the dogs or the squirrel)
