Not sure why, but a friend of a friend really wants to buy some white eggs - any ideas ??

I'm pretty sure supermarkets do them. They usually sell blue and green so I don't see why they wouldn't sell white.

 

Failing that - farmers market or farm shop?

Waitrose had some in I think. They also had an ostrich egg (very heavy) and two turkey eggs for £1.99.

It's quite novel seeing white eggs these days; one of my banties lays tiny white eggs, but I still marvel at the big, china white stonkers laid by my friend's White Star. I went to ponce some eggs from her on Friday as I had loads of baking to do and Rosie had sold all our eggs.

It might be because of her religion the Jewish faith buy White eggs as the are less likely to have any blood spots having been candled at production ? Sorry just popped into my head
